The fit of my ring is not quite right, can I resize it?

Absolutely! At Moissanite By Design, we offer One Free Resize for engagement and wedding rings to use within the first 12 months of your ring’s completion (subject to eligible design style/metal type).

Can a small change be made to the engagement rings I like on your website?

All our engagement rings are made to order, which allows us to customise our standard jewellery pieces customised to suit your preferences. For example, we can change the sizes of your stones, the precious metal, and the gems that we set. Contact us to discuss all of your custom design options.

The metal on my ring has become discoloured. Is that a defect?

Discoloration or tarnishing of metals due to exposure to air, moisture, or chemicals is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the warranty. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help prevent this. White gold will require regular maintenance replating

What happens if I lose a gemstone

Loss of a centre stone in your custom engagement ring is not covered under the warranty. We highly recommend you make sure your jewellery is properly insured for protection against loss. Accent stones or side diamonds are covered by our warranty for up to 6 moths from date of purchase.

The prongs of my engagement ring have bent. Is this under warranty?

Bent prongs resulting from accidental damage are not covered under the warranty. However, prongs that bend immediately after purchase due to a manufacturing defect are covered. Moissanite By Design reserve the right to determine the cause of damage/fault of the piece.

What do I do if a stone becomes loose in its setting?

If the stone was improperly set during manufacturing, this would be covered under the warranty. However, if the prongs wear down over time due to regular use, the repair is not covered under the warranty and would be considered normal wear and tear.

Do you supply the necessary certificates for the various gemstones?

Yes, all moissanites and lab grown diamonds bigger than 0.50 carats come with the requisite certification.

Do you have a physical retail store?

Moissanite By Design offers a user-friendly and streamlined online service. We do not operate out of a brick and mortar store. Our remote designing abilities allow us to provide a bespoke service from wherever you are in the world.
